The river mondego is a very easy and beautifull kayak descent. We organize it since 1988, and since then it has become a classic in Portugal. The descent is 18 km long, starting from Penacova and going to Torres do Mondego (near Coimbra). It takes more or less 3-4 hours by kayak.
